02:33 AM ET 10.30 | After a flurry of confusion on Monday, it turns out the Philadelphia Eagles will not be benching quarterback Michael Vick and instead have decided to stick with him for at least another week. Sources close to the situation have told numerous media outlets like the Associated Press that when the Eagles' facility opens after Hurricane Sandy passes, head coach Andy Reid will announce Vick as the starter for Monday night's game against the New Orleans Saints. Many had very good reason to believe that Vick would be benched for Philly's Week 9 matchup with the Saints, as Reid didn't endorse Vick after a 30-17 thrashing on Sunday at the hands of the Falcons. But Vick has one more chance to prove his worth, however this ice is thin and the job is only his now on a week-to-week basis.

Hopefully, Vick has managed his money well from this latest gig so he won't be destitute 3 years out of the league.

Look forward to seeing him on the NFL network next season

This could be a long death watch, for both Vick and Reid, and the Philly fans are not known for having a good bedside manner.

I can tell you, we are sick of both of them and a few other coasters know as players.

Philly fans have a bad bedside manner because they have dealt with crap like Andy Reid for 14 years.

Amen. He has done less with more talent than any coach in the league.

The frustration with both of them must be at the boiling point for Iggles fans.

this team is not talented, and it's not well coached. They ceased being a good team when Reid lost his good assistants like JJ and Harbaugh. McDermott, Castillo, Marty etc.... all are awful and Reid flat out cannot draft an impact player if his life depended on it.

Hey ran the team like he did his family

hay = he

Just who the hell else do they have? Of course he will play

No, real Philly fans appreciate Reid after suffering through Rich Kotite and Ray Rhoades.

He's going to get fired, no doubt. Just keep in mind that the alternatives are often worse.

Stupid is as Stupid does... Watch Fat Andy make the Stupid moves like philly is known for.

Hire juan castillo, an OC, as your DC. Then, fire him and replace him with the coach of the worst performing portion of your defense-- d-back coach.

When they make MORONS, you have to look to the Benchmark--- andy One-Ton reid. Fat and Stupid are no way to go through life..

Last week, before the Atlanta game-- these same idiots said "CON-vick has one more chance to prove himself" --- same thing they said today.

After 14 years, andy reid says the same thing at his post game briefing-- "We have to do a better job at ball control".... "we have to do a better job of executing plays".... "we have to do a better job of coaching"... WHEN ANDY??? Only in philly!! Land of the LOSERS!
