Despite wins, Packers still taking issue with officiating

03:32 AM ET 10.30 | The Green Bay Packers became the poster children of the NFLRA lockout when they were at the epicenter of the most controversial call of the last decade back in Week 2. But although they were justified in their displeasure of that call, the Packers are continuing with their cries that the NFL and its refs are out to get them, despite the wins that are coming in. After Sunday's 24-15 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, defensive coordinator Dom Capers told the NFL world that he was bothered by some of the calls made by officials. The flags are no doubt coming in and the quick whistles and penalties are questionable, but at the end of the day, the Packers need to ask themselves if the penalties are the problem, or if their lack of defensive prowess is.

They have reason to whine with all the crappy calls that they've had go against them.

Packers and their fans whine too much. But we all knew that...after all, it's considered the most entitled franchise and fanbase in the NFL. ;)

I think it's the lack of defensive prowess. Not as much prowess as last years prowess.

I didn't see the whole game, but in the part I did see the ref's were calling it the same way on both teams. If that is the way the game is being called, you need to adjust your play to the reality.

Clay Mathews gets held a ton and it rarely gets called, so the complaints ARE valid.
However, Capers should stop whining and instead spend his time trying to figure out why his team gave up 300 yards to a hurting QB who had no MJD in the backfield.

Whining is a ploy and Capers is saying, "it's not you, it's the officials." Must have fragile egos to work with. Anyway, it's a ploy used all the time by coaches. Just ask Phil "My Middle Name is Whiner" Jackson. (Idiot.)

The Packers are in the middle of a frustrating season, the only game they played well in was the Houston game, injuries are increasing and Rodgers looks uncomfortable because his offensive line sucks. They're taking out on the refs.

Capers needs to worry more about a defense that gave up 15 point to the Jags, who are without their #1 running back... his defense to be more specific.

They might be starting to believe the talking heads who are saying that the pack are back and a force to be reckoned with again.
That is, until they meet up with the GGGMen or 49ers...

DO NOT care for Dom Capers defensive scheme. It may have worked or would work with better players but this team lacks defensive talent, period. With that said, the league needs to look at the films and start assessing the **** refereeing.
I agree with one call, two guys merge of the receiver who is about to catch the ball. They sandwich him at the time the ball gets there, no pass interference but the ref calls 'hitting a defenless receiver'. Duh. WTF. That call is for hitting a receiver when the ball is going to him not one that is about to catch the ball. What morons. It almost costs them another game and sure was a turning point for the Jaguars.
I mean is there something else really going on like, if the Jags lose and their record really sucks, they won't sell tickets, and be a bust on Monday and Thursday night football so we need to help them a little. Ditto Cam Newton.

Meant to say I agree with Dom, that one call was total BS. Another total piece of crap call by the refs and again on the Packers. The call kept a drive alive that resulted in a touchdown rather than turn the ball over to the Packers. Capers is right to **** a little.
