05:48 AM ET 10.30 | The Iowa State Cyclones have three big matchups in their final month of the season when they face the likes of Oklahoma, Texas and West Virginia. Unfortunately for the Cyclones, they will be without their leading tackler Jake Knott for the remainder of the season. Knott was a first-team, All-Big 12 selection last season and awarded Big 12 Player of the Week honors twice this season. The linebacker underwent surgery on Monday, per Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads. This is a big-time loss for the Cyclones defense. Not only was Knott the leading tackler for the team, but he also led the Big 12 in tackles with 79 ??? six of those tackles were made for a loss. He added two interceptions and two forced fumbles.

Hate to hear this for a kid on what appears to be an up-and-coming team. Best of luck to the young man with his rehab.

They do play tough D but within the conference sometimes it goes by the wayside with the XBOX offenses. This kid is tough as nails and will play in the league.
