End of the line for Tannenbaum?

08:06 AM ET 10.30 | Mike Tannenbaum's words -- "What we've become is a more diverse, dynamic offense" -- may come back to bite him. [Tannenbaum] was giddy when he said those words during a middle-of-the-night conference call to announce he had traded for Tim Tebow -- not just as a back-up quarterback, remember, but as a special secret weapon. ... This has to be it for Tannenbaum, right? He can't survive another season like this, not with the Jets showing no signs that 3-5 will become anything but 6-10 in a couple months. The GM might have built a team that reached back-to-back AFC title games in 2009 and 2010, but he's also responsible for the paper thin roster now. He's the one who let teams like the Dolphins climb above the Jets in the AFC pecking order.

Mike sure does look a lot like Tim Tebow

I hope he and Rexy stay for years to come!!!

No... you have not.

Suppose, just for the sake of diabolical argument, that Jerry Jones decided he needed a GM and chose Mike Tannenbaum.

How would that go over with you?

He traded for a media sideshow, not a QB. Big mistake! But who cares, Jets suck!

October 30, 2012  08:38 AM ET

There is a GM from Carolina who is looking for a job right now.

Tannenbaum is one of those self-delusional GMs who thinks he knows better than everybody else. There are dozens of them in major league sports. Hey Tannebaum, the Jerkstore called....

Everyone will be singing his praises on Thursday, when the malls switch over to their Christmas music format....

"Oh Tannenbaum, oh Tannenbaum,
Wie gruen sind deiner Blaetter...."

How green are your uniforms? Your skin (after looking at the scoreboard)?

And may I please add a strong endorsement for retaining AJ Smith and Norv Turner in San Diego?

If you???re really feeling diabolical, why don???t you throw in Bill Callahan as J.J.???s next head coach?

I'm diabolical, but not cruel.

Wow, what an idea. The next time the Grand Inquisition of Goodell comes down upon a team for its manifold sins and transgressions, the punishment could be a year of A.J. and Norv.
