08:25 AM ET 10.30 | Wisconsin football coach Bret Bielema had another chance on Monday to make it clear he's a fan of senior quarterback Curt Phillips. [Bielema] addressed UW's future at quarterback after confirming redshirt freshman starter Joel Stave will miss eight weeks with a broken left collarbone. There's an outside chance Stave could be back for a bowl game, but until then the Badgers will have to choose between junior Danny O'Brien and Phillips at quarterback. Bielema said the two players will compete for the job in practice during the bye this week, with a decision to be made by next Tuesday at the latest. The choice will be shared with the team but will not necessarily be made public prior to UW's game at Indiana Nov. 10.

I'm not a big fan, either. When he went for 2 with about 4 minutes left and up by 30 or so, then claims, "Well, that's what it says to do on the coach's card." That just didn't cut it for me.
Coach Saban is roundly criticized for almost everrything, but I can point to specific instances where he did not run up a score. Even in the Ark game, our 3rd stringers scored, and he wasn't real pleased about it.

At least Woody and Spurrier would have the balls to say they wanted to run up the score. Have some great quote about "because I could not go for 3" or "Half-hundred at their place, nobody has done that before".
Chip Kelly and Oregon calls off the dogs in the second half or they could hang 100 on teams.

ROFLMAO, and oh, so true. For those 2 guys, you'd better not ask a question unless you were prepared to get an answer that was exactly what they were thinking.

I actually think he just doesnt want to run it up on conference foes that one day could do the same to him. I notice many coaches who take it easy depending upon the coach they are playing and if they would do the same in kind..... Quid Pro Quo
