Woes piling up in Boise

08:27 AM ET 10.30 | For the second time in as many years, Boise State enters the stretch run with a depleted secondary. The No. 19 Broncos have lost third cornerback Bryan Douglas for the rest of the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament and suspended starting safety Lee Hightower indefinitely for an unspecified team-rules violation. The depth is shaky enough that coach Chris Petersen is considering taking a true freshman off the redshirt track and inserting him into the defensive backfield with just four regular-season games left. He did not identify candidates. ... "We're not going to waste anybody's year," Petersen said. "If we're going, we're going, and that guy's going to get good quality reps and it's going to springboard him into next year."

True...but I see more trying to copy the Bama/LUS and now ND philosophy. Just get great players in all the other 21 positions. Then a good QB is not as necessary.

It still amazes me as to what they are able to accomplish at Boise year in and year out under Petersen.

Finer than a frog hair. Nice and chili this AM. The aroma of roasting chilies from Biad Chili Co. is simply heavenly. Love this time of the year, though folks in the Northeast might disagree with me right now.

Valley chilies...mmmmmm

And the Indian Summers in the desert this time of the year are hard to beat. No better weather anywhere than the desert in the fall.

LOL. Starting it up again. I doubt Brotha will see this as it is not a Domer thread.

1 loss for Boise is like 3 for a SEC team.

As one of the national writers said, "only team BSU played worth a damn was a 4 loss MSU. They are now getting the benefit of the doubt, based on their previous rep, by being ranked, how ironic, huh?"

I can not speak on this as UF is getting some benefit of the doubt with their # 7 ranking. Much to the Nole fans chagrin.

Yeah and let's not forget that the Gators will have three bye weeks (two easy games) in a row before they play FSU. :-)
