04:42 PM ET 10.30 | The NFL trade deadline has produced it's first trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars sending receiver Mike Thomas to the Detroit Lions., according to a report from Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The Jaguars side of the compensation isn't known yet but it's likely a mid to late round pick. The Jaguars had signed Thomas to a five-year, $19 million deal in October 2011. Thomas was a 2009 fourth round pick by the Jaguars and in four seasons with the team he peaked with 820 yards receiving and four touchdowns in his second season in Jacksonville.

Bad news If I am a Jags season ticket holder, with half of the season left management is throwing in the towel and preparing for 13.

Kind of interesting the Jags traded a player to the Lions, whom they just happen to play this Sunday. I'm guessing Mr. Thomas will be subjected to a lot of questions.

Good point. But the deadline is Thursday, so do it now or it can't get done. Maybe they get a higher draft choice for the intel he can pass on to the Lions.

Seems like the Jags are tossing out some bagage before they move to LA

They should never have fired Tom Coughlin.

"What does a coach have to do around here to get fired?" Maybe he quoted Darryl Rodgers.

LOL Yep, remember when Eli was playing for Jim Fassel, and routinely missing receivers by 5 yards? And he looked like a deer in the headlights, and the Giant fans were referring to him as Peyton's sister Elli-May, and wanting to run him out of town? Then came Coughlin, and all of a sudden Elli-May is winning superbowls and being referred to as "Elite." What a difference a coach makes.
