07:54 PM ET 10.30 | Capitals star Nicklas Backstrom took heat for originally wearing the No. 99, the number belonging of course to NHL great Wayne Gretzky, in KHL games with Dynamo Moscow. But Backstrom says he never wanted 99 in the first place, and it was a miscommunication that gave him the number. He'll wear it for one more game before switching to No. 69.

Sad to think no one can wear 99....it's a freaking number for crying out loud....no one on the Oilers, or Kings...ok I'm good with that, otherwise it's a tribute.
