Instead of playing in London, since the Pro Bowl is going bye-bye, why not have games in Hawaii? Better yet, get a team in Hawaii. Guys would kill to play there.

Whenever a team plays in London, they schedule a bye for them the next week. The travel, time change and jet lag are a worse hit than playing a Monday Night game and then playing again on Sunday.

One or two games a year is a novelty. Eight games, plus pre-season, might not fill the stadium quite as often.

Notice that our little game is referred to as "gridiron" over there...

Notice that one of the networks is now putting "fussboll" scores on the scroll at the bottom during NFL games.

Tea and Crumpets at halftime?, Maybe the crowd could stomp the divots back like a Polo match...I see major Logistics problems with this on a regular basis.

Indeed. British fans will have no idea why they cut off tea sales after the third quarter.

And they will have to bring all their food already overcooked to inedibility before the game, because they won't have enough time to do that tailgating.

Actually, I would be more concerned about soccer fan level craziness - could make Eagles fans look tame.

That's an option.

But, the NFL will have to bring over thousands of station wagons and SUVs because I don't think the Brits make any cars with tailgates. Land Rovers, maybe?

Brit-bashing aside, I too have serious doubts about filling a stadium for 8 home games a season. Empty seats at games makes this venture a failure, regardless of the economics attached. Money solves nearly every problem, but the PR disaster on both sides of the pond created by empty seats would be something NFL would not be able to continue living with for any period of time.

You gotta admit Otis that calling a game played with your hands, "football" doesn't exactly make sense... besides their "football" has been around longer than ours.

This could be a bad move for NFL Teams, espeacially the smaller market teams, expanding to more games is not good, thats just one less game that could be a home game for that team, then you have the long distance travel issues, that was one reason the NFL realigned there divisions,was to cut down on travel distances.
