Brown already on the hot seat

08:14 AM ET 10.31 | For his part, Mike Brown says he felt more pressure last season, and yet it's certainly a part of the Lakers' season already. The pressure was on [Brown] yet again on Tuesday night, his new-look Los Angeles Lakers finally taking the floor in the regular season for all the basketball world to see. ... [Said Brown:] "I had other opportunities to go other places, but I wanted that." If Brown is crazy enough to read the clips when he wakes up Wednesday morning, there's little doubt he'll see the sort of knee-jerk reaction from the media and fans that will be the norm all season long. This debut was nothing short of inauspicious, an underwhelming performance in which the Mavericks seized control in the third quarter and never looked back.

But I'll take Carlisle over Brown any day of the week.

Pau- refuses the ball
Nash- needs ball in hand
Dwight- pouts if he doesn't get ball
Kobe- takes stupid shots when he gets the ball

Recipe for success!

QUOTE(#4):

Great game. The team did more than I expected. Watch out when Kaman gets back. Curry did well. His Defense is shaky but offense look good.... Anyways, the Lakers weakness is their bench and their Princeton offense. Nash becomes useless w/ the Princeton. Too much passing and ball movement and not enough shots for a great offensive team.

Curry's defense was horrible. Paul went past him like he wasn't there. Note how the Lakers went to Pau almost every time after Curry came in.

Eddie did look a lot better and scored well.

Pau was the only player that seemed interested. Him and Hill actually.
Whatever the F happened to Peace and Blake?

Eddie Curry looked awful. Barely getting up and down the court, throwing up wild shots, terrible defense, turnovers. The list goes on.....

Well, the good news is the Laker bandwagoneers that joined up over the summer are leaving. The bad news is the Lakers are quite lost out there.

Nothing against the Mavs, they did a fine job. But for an All-star loaded team like the Lakers, this should not have happened. No Dirk or Kaman, and the Mavs are up by 15 with 4mins left. And no attempt by Lakers to press, put up 3 pointers, and only a small attempt to push the ball in transition.

This almost looked like a mini-revolt by LA players over the new system. We'll see how the Lakers do against Portland and the Clips.

Congrats to the Mavs. In spite of injuries, they look ready to play. Eddy Curry did ok.

Not just when Kaman gets back, but what happens when Dirk comes back? wow.
