Sharks F considering $600-a-week ECHL

08:29 AM ET 10.31 | After San Francisco GM Pat Curcio made sure it was OK with the Sharks, the Bulls were joined at Yerba Buena Gardens by Ryane Clowe. "Just wanted to get in a routine, a place to practice," Clowe said after his first skate with the Bulls, who were forced out of their Cow Palace home by the rodeo. "To be honest, I had no intention of playing, but I'm not ruling it out." That, of course, is where things get more interesting. Clowe, of course, would not be the first NHL player to seek refuge in the ECHL. ... Clowe wouldn't be doing it for the money. The ECHL operates under a rigid salary cap system. Curcio answered a question on how much he'd be able to pay Clowe by noting that Alaska's three NHL players each earns $600 a week.
