08:54 AM ET 10.31 | The superfight, which will welcome former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar to the featherweight division, has finally been re-booked. It was announced today and confirmed by UFC president Dana White that Edgar will make his featherweight debut at UFC 156 in a featherweight title match with champion Jose Aldo. The news was announced Tuesday on UFC Tonight. UFC 156 will take place on Feb. 2 in Las Vegas. There has been a lot of hype surrounding this potential matchup since it was first announced in August. "I'm pumped," UFC president Dana White said at the time. "I think that people are going to be very excited for this fight. This is not only a world title fight but also a superfight that has long been a dream match for many fans."
