02:01 PM ET 10.31 | As an undrafted free agent, Victor Cruz has been one of the best values in the NFL. In the last season and a half, he has over 2,000 yards receiving and 16 touchdowns. But soon his pay will be on the level of his play. Cruz tells WFAN that he and the Giants are nearing a new deal. Cruz says, "they've just agreed on the structure right now. And that's all I'm at liberty to say." Cruz is in his third year with the Giants.

I hope Cruz has a great mgmt team that's looking out for his best interests. Cruz, please don't settle for a long term contract at $2-3 million per. You're worth alot more. Test the waters, you'll most likely find a couple of teams willing to give you the money that will help you and your family now and in the long term. You play with heart and that's rare today in the NFL. Best of luck.
