Did USC ruin year's best Saturday?

03:11 PM ET 10.31 | Saturday was supposed to mean two games between top-10 teams, with title implications for both Alabama-LSU and Oregon-USC. The former has lived up to its billing, but the Trojans have dropped two games against lesser opponents and often looked sloppy even in victory. Can USC take Oregon seriously enough to make this one a great game after all?

Would love to see them beat Oregon; give ND a twofer:
1) Make the 11/24 beating ND is going to put on USC even more significant
2) Push Oregon out of the unbeaten ranks, push ND into the NC picture very firmly.

Be careful what you ask for. If USC beats Oregon, they will easily beat Notre Dame.

Notre Dame can easily make the championship game against K-State if they just stay undefeated. They don't need to wish for the best for the Trojans.

If USC pulls it together and defeats Oregon, it will show a level of play that's not been displayed as yet this year. then, the Trojan faithful can call out for Notre Dame with the outspoken expectation of defeating them. otherwise, it just comes across as braggadocio.

Are you sure you're not thinking of Mortadella?

I think of her often.

The question should be can Oregon take USC seriously?

I thought that *every* Saturday that Kiffin gets beaten like a rented mule is the year's best Saturday.

Sandy, I know you've been hanging your head since the RichieRod team whooped your boys, but please stop the braggadocio... you are making a fool out of yourself girl!

If we knock off the ducks, it means we played a damn near perfect game. If that happens, it makes the stanford and au loss sting that much more. Lane has pulled in terrific athletes and football players, he should be able to make them perform at a high level all the time. If we run the table, or even take 3 out of our next 4, it makes next year a big year for Lane. HUGE

"Addicted to Quack"? ATQ, you suck. The best game upcoming is O v. OS. For Oreganos that will be a Civil War for the ages -if the Beavs can slow the frenetic non-football that O. plays. As for USC, the Trojans will play a competitive game and put a little crimp in the webfoot. Would love to see Troy hang one right on the duck bill. Sad to say, I've got to put my money on the fowl line. Sorry, Trojans, it's not personal, it's business. I always like Michael.

While I have respect for the USC football program, Lane Kiffin is a clown. The sooner the USC faithful realize that, and start calling for his head, the sooner their program can get back to where it BELONGS...which would be among the best in the land.

Mistakes happen, and USC made a HUGE one when they hired Lane Kiffin as their HC.

Seems to me coach Kiffin hired on an all-star coaching staff, NFL calibur all around.

Agreed, the tail end of the season is going to be very exciting indeed. Good Luck Mr Ice.

Even as an ND fan I agree with you Sandy. In the 30 years I have been watching ND USC games I have seen the Trojans end ND's NC aspirations more than a few times. They are certainly capapble of doing it again this year but if that is what ND is thinking about right now they will lose before Thansgiving Day weekend...
