04:29 PM ET 10.31 | Profootballtalk.com is reporting there's a viable chance that Panther RB DeAngelo Williams is traded ahead of Thursday's deadline. Adding to the trade rumors was Panthers head coach Ron Rivera, who said today after being asked about either WR Steve Smith or DeAngelo being traded, he simply replied, "you never know," but did later add, "we're not looking to trade anyone." Steve Smith was later quoted in saying he intends to retire a Panther.

Williams could go, if a team is willing to part with a draft pick and pick up his salary. Not sure that many teams are willing to do that.
