05:26 PM ET 10.31 | James Harden has his max contract. As expected, the now-Houston Rockets star has signed a five-year, $80 million contract extension to stay with the club, according to Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski. The Rockets value Harden as a franchise cornerstone and moved quickly to lock his services down for the long term after acquiring him from the Oklahoma City Thunder for Kevin Martin, Jeremy Lamb and multiple draft picks. Harden could not have received the designated five-year maximum contract from the Thunder because they already gave it to Russell Westbrook

I'm excited to see what Harden will bring to the table this year. Imho he should go 20-24ppg - 4 rebounds -4 assists per game this year.

I don't get why he feels the need for the money though. Did he feel left out when he was playing with all the big money making stars at the olympics? Did they make fun of him that's only making a few million a year? Did Westbrook and KD chuckle and not support him when he was made fun of?
