Trey Burke suspended for exhibition game

04:30 PM ET 10.31 | Michigan head coach John Beilein has suspended starting point guard Trey Burke for the team's exhibition opener against the Northern Michigan Wildcats on Thursday night. The sophomore will sit out the game because of a "violation of team standards."

Named to the preseason AP All-American first team earlier this week, Burke is considered one of the best players in the nation. He led the Wolverines in scoring, steals and assists last season, and shared co-Big Ten Freshman of the Year honors with Indiana's Cody Zeller.
