08:00 AM ET 11.01 | Tracy Porter knows the NFL is a bottom-line business, something with which he may become all too familiar very soon. [Porter] doesn't know when he will be a starter in the league again and can no longer be certain his opportunity will come in Denver. "The NFL is a what have you done for me lately league," Porter said Wednesday, while sitting in his locker at Dove Valley. Porter has not played since Oct. 7, missing the last two games as he sought medical treatment to correct the same dizziness and racing heartbeat that were symptomatic of a single, still-unexplained seizure he suffered nearly three months ago, during training camp. But let's not mask the real football issue here: The Broncos have lost confidence in Porter.

He's as done as a porterhouse steak left on the grill too long.

Last time I seen him, he had quite a few tackles and a pick 6. Looked fine to me....

An unexplained seizure? When you have symptoms of brain problems, you shouldn't even be suiting up for practice in the NFL. I don't care how much talent a guy has.

Manning's getting tired of seeing him everyday. Bad memories.

And the operative terms - "sought medical treatment" and "still-unexplained seizure he suffered nearly three months ago"...
Sorry - he doesn't belong anywhere near a set of pads. Put his ass on IR!

This guy should be looking for medical answers instead of worrying about playing time ....unexplained seizures cannot be a good thing...

The guy is very talented but should take care of his health issues before playing again.

Sounds like Elway is doing just that...setting him down until his health is verified.
Young man...there is nothing...NOTHING...in this world more important than your health. If you can't get it figured out, go do something else. Use your education. If you didn't graduate, go back to school and finish. Last thing you want to do is be stuck in a chair the rest of your life drooling all over yourself.

Was the medical treatment successful? If not, it's still an issue.

When it comes to the inner workings of the brain, we are still in the witch doctor era.
I didn't even stay at a Holiday Inn Express, but I can tell you this: When you're having unexplained seizures, knocking heads with someone on a football field is not going to make the situation any better.

Based on the fact that it is a still-unexplained seizure then I would say no.
The point is he has missed the last 2 games while he sought medical treatment so apparently he is doing everything he can to find out wtf is going on and not worrying about playing time.
With that said you would be crazy not to seriously worry about what something like this could mean to your livelihood regardless of what that may be.

He needs to get his head straight, and look for a future out of football. Seizures and dizziness that cannot be explained certainly make playing football and crashing heads together with other players and the ground not an option.

The Steelers retro uniforms, though, could explain the dizziness.

Everyone has a seizure now and then. Get back out there! I've never seen anyone die on the football field before!

If he gets cleared to play again and is healthy he should go back to the SAINTS. We'll take him. This guy can play!

Okay, from what I'm reading, Porter had *one* seizure, and then the dizziness and rapid heartbeat (again). From my training and experience, it's entirely possible that the seizure wasn't from head trauma, but rather the result of a lack of oxygen to the brain caused by a rapid heartbeat. That sounds weird I know, but if your heart starts beating too fast, it actually becomes less effective moving blood through the body. So, cardiac issues, not cerebral.
Still, he shouldn't be playing football until the doctors know what's going on. In fact, working out and getting his heart rate up isn't actually a good idea either, unless he's being monitored to see if there are any random foci in the hear muscle.
