08:10 AM ET 11.01 | Mario Williams may not be greeted warmly when he returns to Houston, but he did want to plead his case on Wednesday. Williams never specifically said he would have preferred to remain with Houston when his contract was up after last season, but his words strongly suggested it. ... "Fans that saw me said, 'Don't leave.' I said 'I don't want to leave.' That's just how it is. Nothing against if I'm here or anywhere else. This is even prior to [free agency]. I never said I wanted out. I'm sure everybody's going to twist it up and say 'Oh, well, he didn't want to come here,' so on and so forth. That's not what I said. Like I said, I never asked [to leave Houston]. I was basically given a door in a quiet manner. I had no other choice."

The Bills are wishing he never left Houston.

He could have stayed, but wanted more $. Be honest about Mario. Lots of players choose to stay with their existing teams for less money.

fitting that the Bills have a big bill to pay and so far the return is rather minimal.

Based on your play this season, Houston fans are probably glad you're gone, Mario.

How many players would trade $ to play with a playoff team - Mario went the other way and loss.

Hogwash, Mario! You had lots of choices. One was to stay with Houston, you just wouldn't have gotten as much $MONEY$.

He's turning out that way. The good thing about going to Houston is that maybe he can watch JJ Watt and take a few notes on how to play.

I honestly thought Albert Haynesworth made teams aware of players like this guy....
Or at least learn to do their homework first.

He is right though...the Texans cleaned house a bit and didn't want to take on the contract he was going to receive.

Not really true. He could take less money to stay. He chose to go to a bad team over a playoff contender just for the $$.

So far, it appears his departure has made the Texans even more a of a playoff contender.

And follow his performance in Buffalo.
No, wait, you can't do that. He turned invisible once he got there.

Has anyone ever bought the line, "I had no choice?" Why do people still use it? Williams must think average fans are dumber than the Bills' front office.
