11:36 AM ET 11.01 | The AP is reporting that the Carolina Panthers are not expected to trade away running back DeAngelo Williams prior to Thursday afternoon's NFL trade deadline. Williams has become a hefty contract with little value to the struggling Panthers. He backs up Jonathan Stewart, and the offense also features Mike Tolbert to handle short-yardage work. Carolina would likely have to cover much of the cap hit Williams' contract carries this season.
