12:59 PM ET 11.01 | Michael Vick's status as the Eagles starting quarterback has been much discussed over the past few weeks as the Eagles are mired in a three-game losing streak. Eagles head coach Andy Reid tried to rend off some of the talk about Vick on Thursday when he said, "Michael is, was and will continue to be our quarterback. This is not a week-to-week thing." Reid also said he wasn't close to benching Vick for Nick Foles last week, which sounds debatable.

It's just so much easier to deal with this when Michael Vick gets hurt, which he seems to do every season since he joined the Eagles.

Reid : I made a bad decision, and I am sticking to it.

"Michael is, was and will continue to be our quarterback. This is not a week-to-week thing."

With that approach, Andy, you are, were and will continue to be a prime candidate to be fired. That is not a week-to-week thing.

Almost every season since he got to the NFL.

Aaaaand, since Vick is proving he's still a coach-killer, I think Reid wants to ruin any chance Vick gets a starter's job with another team. Keep him in there!

Good move! Keep Vick in there. If they continue to lose, fire some more coaches. If that doesn't work, replace the fans.

"This is not a week-to-week thing." You're right, Andy. It's a weak-to-weaker thing.

November 1, 2012  01:54 PM ET

Eagles "is, was and will continue to be mediocre team"...that's what the coach says..........

November 1, 2012  02:15 PM ET

this quote will be on FATSO's tombstone ---- CON-vick is, was, and will continue......"

November 1, 2012  02:44 PM ET

It appears to me that the Ryan/Sanchez and Reid/Vick threads are interchangeable.

November 1, 2012  03:06 PM ET

It's obvious that Andy is not doing this to get fired, the players support Vick and he knows, if he loses the rest of his Team, then he will have let them all down!!! I like the idea Of sticking to your guns but, on the other hand, you have to start seeing some results soon!

November 1, 2012  03:17 PM ET

Ok your **** is on the line and your going to pull your best qb. i don't think so. Vick will play till they take him off on a strecher, right andy.

He doesn't have a viable replacement for Vick. If he did, I think he would have made a move by now.

Why'd they draft Foles then?

November 1, 2012  08:38 PM ET

As long as he's the QB the next two weeks...

reid is an idiot. he messed up years ago when he got rid of mcnabb a proven winner in his system, a guy who led his team to the playoffs almost 4 of the last 5 years he was there. instead he opts for vick who can't stay healthy and kolb back when he was unproven. vick has only led them to the playoffs once and he has looked terrible. vick has sunk reids ship in philly.
