Cowboys: 'We have a lot of confidence in Romo'

03:09 PM ET 11.01 | The Cowboys are going through some tough times losing three of their last four games with an offense that hasn't shown any consistency. Any time an offense struggles, the focus shifts to the quarterback. The Cowboys, though, say they're still confident in Romo despite his interception problems this year. "You don't have to look any further than the Hall of Famers, (John) Elway and (Brett) Favre," Cowboys COO Stephen Jones said. "The (championships) came late in their careers. They had some of the same issues that Tony's had. They had some really great games and then they had some tough ones in terms of turning it over and that type of thing. So, we got a lot of confidence in Tony. Tony has a lot of confidence in himself. And he's going to be fine."

I think it would be very beneficial if someone could copy the comments from the Sanchez and Vick stories below, and paste them here.

We've been hearing that throughout Romo's entire career. Nothing changes. He always finds a way to lose a game. Dallas needs to seriously rethink Romo's future.

Tony Romo just isn't a elite qb along with Sanchez and Flacco they belong in possibly the 11/15 range if that probably the 16/20 range is more accurate. I would rate RGIII Luck and Seattle's Qb ahead of these 3

Confidence? Billie Bob Cowboys organization, haven't you changed all the working parts around your big confidence man??? Billie Bob, you have left coaches at freeway picnic areas without restrooms??? If you have driven I-40, you'll understand. Two things haven't changed - QB and owner. Jones, your call!!

When you throw a perfect strike to the end zone and the receiver puts his hand on the end line before his butt lands two feet in bounds, it's not your fault.

Romo is just another one of Jerruh's Kids. Speculation about getting new quarterbacks or head coaches is pointless as long as Jerruh Jones continues to poison the culture of the Cowboys with his toxic ego. You could bring in any combination of players, coaches, consultants or what-have-you and as long as Jerruh keeps his ego front and center, the Cowboys will continue to flounder.

Romo has always been given a hard time no matter what he does.
This season, with out a shadow of doubt, he has had it rough.
Bottom line, Dallas's problems start with the oline. Once they fix that, hopefully the run game comes back...the run game comes back, it requires less of Tony.
Also, Dez and the timing routes are making Tony look terrible. Dez has at least 3 of Tony's picks on him.
In the end, Dallas should be grooming the next guy to challenge Romo.
The problem is, you just can not go out and get a Top 10 QB in the NFL any day of the week without paying dearly for it.
The Broncs had to shell out serious cash to get Peyton...Dallas can not do that when they are rebuilding the D and would have to eat a hit from Romo's contract.
Dallas should re-sign Romo to a cap friendly deal and put his butt on notice while fixing that line...if that happens, and still be drafting youth to replace him, they will be fine.

100% agreed. Get an oLine and kill Dez.
