04:52 PM ET 11.01 | Toronto Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan signed a new four-year, $40 million contract extension, and now, he can go back to focusing on basketball. "I was to a point that I was ready if it didn't and I was ready if it did," DeRozan said after the Raptors' season-opening loss to the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night. "It is a good thing that it's out of the way." The Raptors believe DeRozan can grow into being one of the league's best shooting guards, even though he has yet to put it all together in his first three years in the league.

I don't know if it's the new CBA or the weather but something is terribly wrong with the kinda money these borderline mediocre players are getting.

It's the NBA's way of fixing the middle class. Lower max to 80 and pay more to the people in the middle... you can look at it that way.
