Canceling Winter Classic would make no sense

05:44 PM ET 11.01 | The Winter Classic has become the NHL's signature event, and the 2013 edition at the Big House between the Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs has the opportunity to be the most-watched hockey game in history. That's why the NHL's threat to cancel the game this week makes no sense, and that's why if it happens, both the owners and the players will assure at least some level of self-destruction.
