05:52 PM ET 11.01 | The California Golden Bears will enter Friday's must-win game against the Washington Huskies without their best offensive weapon ??? wide receiver Keenan Allen. Not only is Allen one of Cal's biggest offensive threats, he is one of the best receivers in the nation and is considered a top prospect in the 2013 NFL Draft class. The school had initially refused to comment on Allen's injury status but they have finally officially ruled him out for the game. Allen is out indefinitely with an injured posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) injury in his left knee. "Keenan won't play against Washington," Cal head coach Jeff Tedford said in a statement. "We'll continue to evaluate him on a weekly basis." Last weekend against Cal's 49-27 win over Utah, Allen set the school's all-time receptions record with 205 catches. Allen set the record before being injured late in the game while trying to cover an onside kick.

QUOTE(#3):

Pyrrhic victory over Utah with Allen's injury. The Hot Seat is just insult on injury for Coach Tedford.

"Pyrrhic victory"? "Pyrrhic victory" would be if CAL won, but Allen got hurt. As it is, CAL got smushed by Utah.
