Source: Turner still on shaky ground

08:07 AM ET 11.02 | San Diego's Thursday night win reportedly saved Norv Turner's job, but for how long? Owner Dean Spanos had thought through what he might do if the Chargers had lost their fourth straight game, two sources told Yahoo! Sports. As hard as it would have been (the Chargers don't have anybody else on the coaching staff who has ever been an offensive coordinator or who has called the plays), Spanos likely would have pulled the plug on Turner. And according to the aforementioned report, he would have been replaced by special-teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia. ... The real question is whether Turner -- who is still under immense pressure, according to one of the sources -- will continue to survive his merry-go-round run on the coaching hot seat.

Bucs, Broncos and Ravens coming up. None of them will be as easy as the Chiefs.

I guess it's only fitting for Norv that the ground out in So. Cal. is earthquake prone. He should be used to shaky ground.

Definitely not, but losses against those teams won't be as embarrassing as a loss to the worst team in the league would have been.

Man, if you think Rivers got the throwing mechanics of a girl then Tebow must be worst?

Both of you should apologize to the LFL. On your knees!

Hmmm...mind if I join you?

He kind of shot puts the ball. Its a very awkward throwing motion, one that could definitely contribute to have troubles with accuracy and delivering the ball with velocity as he gets older.

Maybe it's just an odd coincidence that as he's getting close to being 31 he's been having interception issues over the last season and a half.

Still on shaky ground..............REALLY?........Should have been fired years ago

Tebow gets more attention for whoever he takes out on a date than for his throwing mechanics.

That's because he's had more dates than passing attempts.

As well he should.

that's because he might actually complete a pass!

The Spanos is the real loser here. I mean, yeah, Norv is bad, but Spanos is worse. He's ultimately a lot more responsible for the Chargers' misery than Norv.

But unfortunately, no one can fire Spanos.

He is quietly the second-worst owner in the league.

Hie religious principles will keep him from scoring though.

Looks like Turner built some job security into his coaching staff. Smart.

won't be splitting the uprights!

Wake us up when they fire his **** yo.

I sense Andy Reid will be taking over this team in the offseason... just a hunch

That's because his dates have to be well versed in applying a prevent defense.
