09:00 AM ET 11.02 | Tony Gonzalez is on the verge of yet another NFL milestone as he and the Falcons prepare for a big matchup with the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night. Gonzalez is currently one touchdown catch away from 100 in his career, something no tight end before him has ever done, and only seven other receivers have ever accomplished. Only Jerry Rice (197), Randy Moss (155), Terrell Owens (153), Chris Carter (130), Marvin Harrison (128), Steve Largent (100) and Time Brown (100) have recorded 100 or more touchdowns in their career and Gonzalez is set to join them, likely on Sunday night. But if you're expecting Gonzalez to do some damage to that list and move way up on it, don't. The tight end says he's 95 percent sure he's retiring after this season, one that he hopes brings him something he hasn't been able to achieve his entire NFL career despite putting up insane numbers and likely earning a spot in Canton: a Super Bowl ring.

This could be his chance for a ring, but until Atlanta beats a team with a winning record, I'll reserve judgement about how good they are.

Unless I missed someone, the only team on their schedule with a winning record is the Giants in week 15. Bucs, Cards, and Lions are close, might have winning records by the time they play Atlanta.

So, will they come up short when they face real opposition in the playoffs?
It's been the knock on Atlanta for years....

I am sure they mean Tim not Time Brown, does anyone spell check on this damn site? Anyways, why does it say likely HOF induction. If there was ever anyone deserving of the first ballot entry it is this guy. He is arguably the best to ever do it his position year in and year out. A do it all tight end who blocks well and doesnt drop balls regardless of coverage or contact. I was glad to see him leave Kansas City.

The 1972 Dolphins only played two teams with winning records, and both of those were 8-6.
Their opponents during the regular season had a win percentage of 36%.
They did not play a single playoff team during the regular season.
They won their three playoff games by a total of 17 points.
But hey...they were 17-0.
