02:57 PM ET 11.02 | Eddy Curry's attempt to get back into the league's good graces took yet another hit on Friday. The Dallas Mavericks plan on releasing him to make room for new signee Troy Murphy, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Curry has played well in limited minutes, but with Chris Kaman returning to the lineup soon, the Mavericks have less of a need for a post player like Curry. Curry has now been released by both the San Antonio Spurs and the Mavericks this season. He will now need to find another team to take a chance on him.

Damn this sucks... Troy Murphy is horrible. I wouldn't even give the guy 3 minutes. I rather try it with Curry and see if he can back to 20ppg/10rebounds a game.
