06:02 PM ET 11.02 | It looks like the ongoing Eric Gordon saga finally has reached its conclusion. The New Orleans Hornets guard, who has sat out the entire preseason with a mysterious "setback" in his surgically-repaired right knee, will not undergo another surgery and will instead miss 4-6 weeks, he told Yahoo! Sports' Marc Spears. A Chicago doctor gave him the 4-6-week diagnosis, and he has elected to accept that and work to rehab instead of going under the knife. Gordon played in just nine games last year as he recovered from a similar issue in his right knee.
