Stephan Bonnar tests positive for anabolic steroid

07:09 PM ET 11.02 | Stephan Bonnar, 'The Ultimate Fighter' season 1 veteran and light heavyweight fighter for the UFC, announced his retirement from the UFC and MMA this week. It was revealed today, however, that he tested positive for the anabolic steroid Drostanolone while being tested as a competitor at UFC 153 last month in Brazil. While Bonnar may be retired, he'll still receive a suspension by the UFC for the infraction. This is the second time Bonnar has failed a drug test while being in the UFC. He was suspended nine months by Nevada's commission after his UFC 62 loss to Forrest Griffin in 2006. The only other fighter who tested positive for a banned substance was heavyweight Dave Herman, who had marijuna metabolites in his system. That, too, is his second offense.
