NHL makes concessions on 'Make Whole'

08:03 PM ET 11.02 | The NHL may have canceled the Winter Classic Friday, but in a surprising move late in the evening, they also offered a significant concession on the so-called "Make Whole" provision in their most recent CBA offer. The league has previously proposed the provision that would guarantee players earn full value on their existing contracts, but the players balked, saying that they'd be forced to pay that money out of their own share down the line. The owners have offered to make sure that total is paid out of the owners share, but the devil may be in the details.
