Could Joakim Soria find a home with NY Yankees?

02:35 PM ET 11.03 | Last season, future Hall of Famer Mariano Rivera suffered a knee injury that ended his year and threatens his career. It's impossible to replace him, but the Yankees could come close. Earlier in the week, the Kansas City Royals declined their option on two-time, All-Star Joakim Soria, making him a free agent. For a while, Soria was nearly as dominant as Rivera. He's coming off of his second Tommy John surgery, but on an incentive-laden deal, he'd be a low-risk, high-reward option for the Yankees.

should joakim loria be the right closer for the yanks??well the team does need a closer eventually, lets not forget mariano rivera its hitting the exit door and the yankees would need a replacement unless they want to bring in robertson as their closer after rivera is gone,,

did the yankees did the right thing in letting soriano walk away? i would said that was the wise decision nevertheless, with boras attach like a flea is nothing but a problem for any teams in the majors,,,

i mean soriano is a good closer, but not to the point of been signed to a long term contract,,
if any team should sign soriano it should be a 2 years deal 20 millions nothing more,,,

soria has a great time in the royals as their closer, playing with a new team could give him a new different approach in his closer status, yes he had some injuries but he still can give good contribution to any team....

That's funny. I was just thinking Soria would be a perfect under the radar pickup for the Yanks. Low risk, potential high reward. Get er done, Cash.

Rivera just announced he's coming back for one more year. My guess it takes Soria a year to get his arm back up to speed. Just in time for 2014 when Rivera retires.

Total BS. They did this move a year ago with David Aardsma and they will see how that works out. They will not do it again this year.
