Can LSU beat Alabama again?

02:43 PM ET 11.03 | Contrary to popular belief, LSU did beat Alabama last season. It's just that they also lost to Alabama last season. To win this Saturday, the Tigers will have to avoid panicking themselves into changing their style, as they did in the BCS title game: "Commit to running the football between the tackles. That doesn't mean just thudding it into the line no matter what, it means working to establish the thing that the Tigers do best. Let the passing game be a compliment. The wide runs will be there at times, especially with Michael Ford and Jeremy Hill, but not if LSU can't force the defense to look inside-out. Play to this team's strengths."

Notre Dame related point...
1) If sitting 1st and goal, why try to stuff it up the middle on three consecutive plays?
2) If you have one of the best D in the entire nation, then why not go for it on 4th and goal from the 2 yard line? If they make it, great, 7 points. If they dont make it, then good luck Pitt.

Congrats, Joe. Bama's last drive was as clutch as it gets, and all the more impressive in such a BIG game AT Death Valley. Championship teams resond under pressure, and the Tide certainly did. I think they MAY want to start looking for a nice spot for their new Waterford Football.

What a great game last night it was! I wasn't really pulling for either side, but it did come down right to the wire. I think, however, there would have been a different outcome had there not been a botched fake field goal and botched onside kick.

That Notre Dame game shouldn't have been that close. I can see them dropping a spot in the poll.

That's my thinking. Oregon should make it to the NCG, if they win out. I know the 12 PAC is built for offense, but damn where was the defense in that game last night. I don't know if Oregon can win the NC game, but damn do they have team speed. I'm going to make a prediction right now!!! I think USC will beat the Irish and Georgia will beat Bama in the SEC CG. Just my opinion.

Hey, OT, just don't forget that bet we made. Your Tojans are going to get caught in the meat-grinder known as the Irish defense!
