Michael Vick: Media to blame for some Eagles' woes

09:17 AM ET 11.04 | Michael Vick puts some of the blame for the Philadelphia Eagles' sluggish start on the media. The embattled quarterback pointed a finger at the press for its critical approach toward a team on a three-game losing streak entering Monday's game at New Orleans (2-5). "You guys create a lot of turmoil for us, sometimes," Vick said after Friday's practice. "It's cool, man. We just got to battle through it. The quieter you all can be, the easier it is for us to concentrate, focus as individuals as a unit, as a team, as an organization." Vick was one of several veterans to speak this week at a players' only meeting. Later in the week, his name surfaced in a report that there was tension between him and the assistant coaches. Vick denied there was trouble and said his relationship with the assistants was never discussed during his one-on-one meeting this week with Reid.

Yeah, it's the media's fault. Keeps Vick so distracted he hangs on to the ball too long. That's what takes so long in Iggles huddles. They're passing around a copy of the Sunday Inquirer.

Maybe try a three game winning streak Mikey.

Lousy media keeps causing Vick to fumble!

November 4, 2012  09:42 AM ET

The media caused Vick to electrocute, drown, and torture his dogs. In turn, Vick suffers from acid reflux and hemorrhoids because of the stress induced by the media. My judgment is against the media and for Vick for $100,000,000,000,000,000.

Is the media playing O-line or causing Mikey to fumble all the time and make bad decisions? Maybe the Eagles just stink and need a new QB, coach, O-line, et al.

November 4, 2012  09:44 AM ET

Yeah, the same way the media messed up his dog breeding business.

He has a point. It is really not fair when a guy jumps out of the press box and intercepts your perfectly thrown ball.

Two turnovers in the last several games. Since you seem to acknowledge Vick's frutility so well, why are you so quite about Andy Dalton, Matthew Stafford, Matt Cassell, Tony Romo, just to name a few.........such a double standard that reeks of a racist mentalilty. In these cases equal criticism would be rightly so justified. Be quiet and try some evenhanded distribution of criticism.

Well done there, cupcake. But, can you tell me what frutility is?

By the way, it's not racism. The guy is a punk and he's sucking hard this year at QB. Yeah, there are other guys that have stunk it up this year as well, but I seem to remember that this is, in fact, a Michael Vick thread.

Maybe because FN posts more stories about Vick and the Iggles than they do Stafford, Cassell, Dalton and Romo? Maybe have a chat with the interns about even-handed distribution of T&R threads.
