Steve Nash could miss up to four weeks

06:36 AM ET 11.05 | There was a lot of hype surrounding the Los Angeles Lakers heading in to the 2012-13 NBA season thanks to the free agent acquisitions of veteran point guard Steve Nash and the best defensive big man in the game, Dwight Howard. Unfortunately for the Lakers, the season hasn't gotten off to the start they had hoped for. Los Angeles is struggling to find their identity on the offensive side of the ball and Nash is already injured. Nash has a non-displaced fracture in his left leg and is expected to miss at least one week. It is possible that the recovery time could take longer and the Lakers are in no hurry to rush Nash back to the court. "You obviously hope he's back as soon as possible," Lakers head coach Mike Brown said after the team's Sunday shootaround. "But the one thing you don't want to do, you don't want to compromise his long-term health for him coming back quicker than he should. So, Gary Vitti and the staff are on top of it. We'll just wait and play it out from there."

I did not think it was that serious, look like he just bumped knee with the other player, must be made out of tissue paper. Come on Nash, get back on the floor; Kobe plays with dislocations of the joints and still scores 40-50 points.

It's a gosh darn broken leg....From a minor knee bum he is old in the sporting world.

Looks like a lost season for the Lakeshow... reminds me of that year they got Malone and Payton... Malone for the first time in his career gets hurt for an extended period of time.. Payton fails to fit into the Triangle offense and the team struggles all year long...
