02:59 PM ET 11.05 | Last month, Kobe Bryant made noise about potentially retiring from the NBA in two years. Now, he's signing a slightly different tune. Bryant told Turkey's CNN affiliate that he's now thinking about playing until he turns 40, which is six years away. "My aim is to play until I'm 40 years old and I believe I can do that," he said. "This year, we added very good players to our squad. Steve Nash, Dwight Howard will make us stronger. Right now, things are not going very well but I believe it'll get better soon." Of course, Bryant did not specify whether he would play in the NBA or overseas before he turns 40.

Yeah, he could play until he's 40, he'll be tired as hell at the end of the day, I'm sure he can notice the difference now playing at 33,34. You do get to a point when you can feel the fatigue.

Bryant has been relatively free of serious injuries throughout his career. At 34, he'll start to feel little aches and pains that accompany a body at that age. Hate to say it but, this may be one of those years that aren't kind to him physically and a torn knee or broken ankle may jump up and bite him. Just sayin'.

The Kobe homers are out in full force I see.......this $hitt is laughable, got'em sayin "go Kobe". This fraud wants to be the all time scoring leader, beat Mike's ring count and so on. And to think he wouldn't have led any Lakers team he played on to championship. Exactly wheres Kobe's memorable Finals showing.......Wade, LeBron have played about a little over half as long as this fraud has and both have signature finals, Wade 06, Bron 11, Kobe?.....we're still waiting, and that my friends about says it all!
