07:15 PM ET 11.05 | A German newspaper reported that Rick DiPietro injured his groin in a German game over the weekend. They also reported, according to Google Translate, that the injury was "something of a Godsend" for SC Riessersee, the 2nd Bundesliga team the Islanders goaltender has played for during the NHL lockout. But DiPietro denies the injury, saying he's "feeling good" and looking forward to playing in the team's next game.

Already on his 2nd german team. Wow. Really. Its when I see contracts given to buns like Rickety D that I want to throw out my entire stance on anything lock-out related and laugh at the owners and say noway should you get any sort of relief from stupidity like this. Its hard to be objective and to want to find a solution that is equitable to all when you realize that it is because of contracts like this that the owners want the roll-back.
