Kaman believes Mavs are limiting his minutes

08:05 AM ET 11.06 | In 24 minutes on Monday night, Chris Kaman proved to be more than a capable sixth man. Not that it's something he should get used to. When he gets his conditioning back and his still-sore calf heals completely, he'll certainly find his way back into the starting lineup eventually. But for now, the bench role seems to suit him. "Right now, I'm just working myself back in," Kaman said after hitting 8-of-10 shots against Charlotte in the 114-91 win. "They've got me on minutes restriction. Nothing they've talked about, but I think they do. And I'm trying to feel my way back into the game. Think my defense needs some work still." ... Kaman said his calf still isn't 100 percent. But it's improving.

I did not see the game and I know it was the Bobcats, but still, 8-10 shooting in limited minutes is very nice! Mavs looking very good in spite of not having Dirk.

Don't complain, this will do you some good, at season's end is when they will really need you......enjoy the shallow minutes now.

He did pretty good again against the Blazers. His low post scoring is good.

Oops my bad. The article says Charlotte, but it was the Blazers he went 8-10 in 24minutes, which is even better. And Mayo had a monster game with 32 on 12-18shooting. Wow.

Yeah, a big scorer in the low post is something the Mavs have not had in quite awhile. When Dirk gets back, look out.

He's not complaining, Apple... in spite of the baiting headline that FN chose to caption the thread with.

Typical of T&R.

60% shooting in back-to-nack games...

That isn't going to last but it is fun to see.

Brand has become a shell of the player he was. Hard to watch him put up 8 and 5 type numbers.
Kaman should move into the starting lineup, and Brand should come off the bench.

QUOTE(#1):

Kaman is in a very good situation. He is doing his job at the low post and can hit mid range jumpers. Not bad for a pick up. Just wait til Dirk gets back. And Collison is not too bad either.

OJ Mayo is looking like a great pickup for them.

Way to play fellas'... I liked what I saw. btw... who the heck is D-Will?

November 6, 2012  12:57 PM ET

When this team was put together and then Dirk went on the shelf I didn't think they would reach 3 wins until the end of November.

Is it just me or does Chris Kaman look like a white supremacist in this photo
