08:09 AM ET 11.06 | Damian Lillard seems to have picked up right where he left off after the preseason. Lillard has walked into a perfect situation in Portland. The team needed a point guard so he is starting and playing 38 minutes a game. While he's a focal point of the team, he has talent around him so he isn't the only option on the floor. Lillard became just the third rookie in NBA history, joining Oscar Robertson and Isiah Thomas, to record at least 20 points and 10 assists in his first game. While scoring was expected, Lillard wasn't supposed to get noticed as a playmaker, but nine assists per game suggests Lillard may be better than advertised. It's early, but the rookie point guard has jumped out to big lead.

Irving is a better shooter. Lillard has some flash in his play making, suspect 3-ball right now.

As of right NOW, Irving >> Lillard easily. But that could change after a complete season, and I think that it will.

Just wondering you see that Lillard will be selected over Paul, Parker, Kobe, Nash, Manu, Westbrook, Harden, Lin for a spot in this years all star game??
Blake was a fluke and the last person to do it before Blake was Duncan....... i cant see another rookie making the all start team this year.
