Lakers 'collective soul' supports Brown

08:10 AM ET 11.06 | Yes, Mike Brown's on a hot seat, but not in the sense a move is anywhere near the horizon. The idea that Brown would've been on a real hot seat if he had lost that game Sunday night, though, is absurd. Here's how Lakers executive vice president Jim Buss, just two-plus weeks ago, put his feelings -- and those of general manager Mitch Kupchak and Lakers owner Jerry Buss: "I'm a hundred percent behind Mike Brown. Mitch is. My dad is. We as a collective soul are behind him 100 percent." Collective soul? Brown's not getting fired anytime soon, folks. Criticize his inability to develop the bench or wonder why the Lakers don't have the defensive tenacity he predicted he'd bring, but the guy is still getting his chance here.

Mike Brown remains HC, Kobe playing until he's 40......pure absurdity.

I think there are two things that have to happen for MB to be let go. The Lakers need to believe they cannot win the title with him, and they need to believe they have a coach that can come in mid-season and win the title.

If there is no coach that can replace him and win, then it's pointless to let him go, unless the Lakers have thrown in the towel on the season and are building for next year.

Mike D'Antoni He's a shoo in for the Laker's next coach...

You're kidding right? The only thing that could be worse then the Mike Brown hire would be a D'antoni hire. I just read a blurb where they predict Jerry Sloan. I don't think it's likely they would make a change this quick. It would make Buss-light look too bad. Though the idea of the Princeton offense is so stupid that it should get him canned.
