08:11 AM ET 11.06 | Of 22 MLB execs, 17 of them had Zack Greinke ticketed for signing in Los Angeles. Which team will sign Zack Greinke? For how many years and how much money? Responses: Los Angeles Angels 11; Los Angeles Dodgers 6; Atlanta 2; Texas 1; Kansas City 1; Milwaukee 1. Almost all of the respondents predicted Greinke will sign a five- or six-year deal, for a total payout in the $100 million to $150 million range. The Angels should have derived a significant advantage when they acquired Greinke for the pennant push in August and September. ... Greinke went 6-2 with a 3.53 ERA and a 1.18 WHIP as an Angel and showed he's capable of handling the demands and the scrutiny of the Southern California market.

he's capable of handling the demands and the scrutiny of the Southern California market
Which is rather tame in comparison to Boston, NY, and Philly.

You can rule out KC and Milwaukee not enough funds, so it really only leaves the two LA teams, Greinke do you want to hit and pitch or just pitch.

the angels would and could be willing to trade mark trumbo, kendris morales, pete bourjos, konger, for some tough decent pitching arms,,,it wont be a easy task but that should be the only way the angels could be able to compete against tough league,,,,,and division!!

should the angels use a different type of approach?? like trade your top hitters for conssistent pitching? young prospects from the minor league could do the trick, they would be cheap and be ready to develope them into a serious starters,!!

THE ANGELS HAD MADE TERRIBLE MISTAKES IN THE PAST SEASON AND FARTHER BACK,
this winter meetings could be a open window for some redemtiom, should the halos fail to sign greinke and another top elite starter?? then they have to move forward to the plan B, trades most be added to their plans, and something good could bring for the shaky halos!!!

all in all, the angels need a better catcher, better pitching coach,, and better hitting coach, this elements should be conssistantly and not be good only first half of the season, then in the second half of the season they collapse just like a tired army walking in the sand !!!!
