05:02 PM ET 11.06 | A hot rumor making the rounds in NHL circles is that Vancouver Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo could be traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs shortly after the NHL lockout ends. While the belief that Luongo will be moved seems to be all but certain, there are some who think that the Maple Leafs may not be the destination. Hockey Night in Canada's Don Cherry is one of those that does not believe Luongo would waive his no-trade clause to make the move to Toronto. "Why would he want to come here and step into the same thing as Vancouver? Every time they lose, it's his fault. He only took them to the seventh game (of the 2011 Stanley Cup final). How many goaltenders have taken them to the seventh game?" Cherry said. "I don't think he wants to step into a real hotspot like here. I think he wants to go to Florida because his wife comes from Florida."

That's the reason hockey is sometimes called goalie...one of the most important positions in team sports. Ranks right up there with QB.

I doubt he'll waive it for the Leafs either. He may not have gotten the Canucks over the top, but he's not insane either.
