Mark Richt needs offseason hip surgery

09:51 AM ET 11.07 | First it was Tennessee Volunteers head coach Derek Dooley who needed hip surgery and now another coach has been struck with the hip injury epidemic that appears to be targeting the SEC. Georgia Bulldogs head coach Mark Richt reports this week that he will need offseason hip replacement surgery. The injury, which Richt says he suffered 20 years ago, has a rather entertaining back story. Richt alleges that he initially hurt his hip while attempting to impress his wife on a swing set during a family picnic and he aggravated the injury while doing P90x in a story that you need to hear the coach explain in his own words.
