04:58 PM ET 11.07 | Maryland guard Dezmine Wells has won his appeal and been cleared to play this season by the NCAA. Wells transferred from Xavier after his freshman season following a sexual assault allegation. He was eventually cleared of any wrong doing and was not charged with any crime.

At Xavier last season, Wells averaged 9.8 points per game and was a member of the Atlantic 10's All-Freshman team. He played an average of 26 minutes per game, while pulling down 4.9 rebounds per game. The 6'5 native of North Carolina can play either guard or forward, and his eligibility instantly makes Maryland a serious player in the ACC.
