10:59 PM ET 11.07 | The South Carolina Gamecocks are set for a SEC showdown this weekend against the struggling Arkansas Razorbacks and the team could be receiving a major boost on the sidelines. Gamecocks head coach Steve Spurrier says that injured star running back Marcus Lattimore is expected to be in attendance at Williams-Brice Stadium on Saturday just two weeks removed from his devastating and potentially career-ending knee dislocation. "I think he'll be at the game Saturday, so we're looking forward to that," said Spurrier. "I guess I can already announce that they're going to put his name on the wall for scoring the most touchdowns and the most rushing touchdowns. I think he replaces Harold Green and George Rogers as career touchdowns leader. That announcement is either going to be right before the game or between the first and second quarter, something like that. So I think our fans need to know that Marcus will be here and I'm sure he'll get an ovation maybe like there's never been one at Williams-Brice. That's set to occur this Saturday."

That would be cool....if he can turn them into a contender ala Arky, he gets coach of the decade.

All over the web, Sir. I for one do not think it will happen.

Better than at Arkie, you only have to contend with the likes of GA TN FL, you know, a lot easier than the other side. LOL

::hey, don't lob em too fast, slow on ducking right now, can't run either.::

I heard a report that Kentucky is not interested in Petrino, but that could all change fairly quickly.

Petrino and Calipari? The NCAA COI (committee on infractions) might as well open a branch office in Lexington.

At least SOS made a decent statement this time, without verbally smacking anybody around. He's learning.

Can anyone shed light on the extent of his injury other than a dislocation? I've never heard details of how extensive the damage was....

Wrong, it would be a home office, not branch.
