Canucks to retire Pavel Bure's jersey

06:06 AM ET 11.08 | The Vancouver Canucks are going to be retiring winger Pavel Bure's jersey number. Bure's former teammate and friend Gino Odjick spilled the beans to the Vancouver Province on Wednesday night. According to Odjick, owner Francesco Aquilini will be travelling to Florida this weekend, where Bure resides, to outline the team's plans to honor him. Bure wore both #10 and #96 during his time in a Canucks uniform, but it is safe to assume it will be #10 that joins Markus Naslund's #19, Trevor Linden's #16, and Stan Smyl's #12 in the rafters of Rogers Arena. On Monday, Bure will be enshrined into the Hockey Hall of Fame along with Joe Sakic, Adam Oates, and Mats Sundin. Fans will be able to catch the ceremony on TSN2 beginning at 4:30 p.m. PST.
