Christian Ponder has heard the boos and the calls for the Vikings to change quarterbacks. ... [Webb] is taking his turn as the most popular guy in town -- the backup to a struggling starter -- as some of the Vikings faithful want him to reprise his role from the end of last season, when he replaced Ponder in three games and sparked the offense in two of them. Only the Vikings are less willing to give him that role this season. Coach Leslie Frazier repeatedly has backed Ponder, saying he hasn't thought about lifting the second-year quarterback.

Not good to have a revolving door at QB. For better or worse, Ponder is the man, and unless he is injured, you've got to let him work through the rough patches - it's the only way he'll get better.

Well, when your receiving group consists of one legitimate receiver, followed by a guy people know from an awesome flip, a castoff fourth wide receiver from a division rival, and a tight end that went from getting a touchdown a game to not having so much as a catch in a game, eventually you stop winning.

Frazier , like any HC, plays the guy who gives him the best chance of winning. He sees both of them everyday in practice and film rooms and meetings. His job is on the line too. The vikings already exceeded expectations, but d not confuse them with real contenders.

People have got to remember that this team is coming off a 3-13 season. You start the season winning some games and people start thinking of making the playoffs, but it not going to happen, because the teeth of the schedule is ahead with two games with the Pack, two with the Bears, and a trip to Houston.
