Beer company pinched by lockout

08:21 AM ET 11.08 | In addition to the players, staffs and local businesses, at least one beer company is finding a lockout squeeze. [Molson Coors] said the financial impact of the nearly two-month labour dispute is difficult to tabulate, but the company's most important cold-weather driver of sales has disappeared. "Whether it's people not actually physically going to the venues and consuming there, consuming in venues around the outlet before that, or indeed having NHL sort of parties at home, all of those occasions have disappeared off the map and you just can't replicate them," CEO Peter Swinburn said in an interview Wednesday. The impact is more pronounced in Canada than in the United States and has particularly hurt sales of Coors Light and Molson Canadian.

Sporting events are the only place they sell lots of that crap cause it's the only thing you can buy while in attendance.
I'm sure the makers of lousy hot dogs are feeling the pinch too...

And absolutely everything under their umbrella. Seriously, their brand lineup reads like a list of the crap beers me and the guys bought in university because we were broke and usually already Burked off of whiskey by the time anybody wanted a beer.

Bang on !!! No self respecting Canadian has slowed his consumption of the lovely suds due to a lock out. As Hank stated , it would only be crap like Molsons that dips in sales. Long Live Moosehead , and Speckled Hen !
