08:25 AM ET 11.08 | Just what the Coyotes needed: Another hurdle to remaining in Arizona. Glendale voters on Tuesday decisively selected Republican Jerry Weiers to succeed their outgoing mayor, Elaine Scruggs, and in doing so further complicated their relationship with the Coyotes. Weiers ran on a platform of reining in spending and was highly critical of the City Council???s pending financial deal with Jamison for managing Glendale???s city-owned Jobing.com Arena. ... With new executive leadership, Glendale could very well end up rebuffing the Coyotes and their demands from the city. With the team under NHL ownership, having already gone through bankruptcy, the Coyotes could be up for grabs if Jamison???s purchase falls through. Which could mean good news for Seattle hockey fans.

If the 'Yotes do pull up and move, I am 99.9% sure it will not be to Seattle. Two other places need/deserve a team, have willing ownership, and arenas. Seattle is so much of a gamble at this point it makes no sense.

You lost me. WTF does Obama/Romney have to do with an NHL franchise in Arizona, or a Habs avatar, or the Leafs, bashing or not? BTW, I don't think Obama, Romney or Abe Lincoln ever played hockey? Besides, after watching $6 billion dollars worth of ads in the last year, disruptions at my airport when a candidate arrives and receiving HUNDREDS of useless robo-calls (how did Bill Clinton and Sarah Palin get my number?) I'm tired of all of it.
I have no idea about internal politics vis a vis Toronto and anyplace else in Canada. It's really none of my business anyway. But, in the interests of honesty I must admit I do enjoy the Leaf critics and their comments. Without them I'd have to start bashing only the Caps. The Leafs haven't won the Cup since 1967.....the Caps didn't start until 1974-75 and we haven't ever won it.

Danny Danny Danny are you talking QC or S Ontario not happening that will be the league's 31st and 32nd teams if the team doesn't go to Seattle expect Las Vegas or Portland as they are already having problems moving teams east/west but the arena deal in Seattle counts on 100 million (100 million for an NBA franchise too) being pledged by local government if they bring an NHL franchise to town. About the only way I don't see the Coyotes moving to Seattle (if they lose their subsidy) is if Gaglardi pulls stakes in Dallas and brings his team to the Pacific Northwest 1st
