02:36 PM ET 11.08 | With his team off to a disappointing 1-4 start, Los Angeles Lakers coach Mike Brown has received the dreaded "vote of confidence" from one of his bosses. In an interview with ESPN Los Angeles, Lakers executive vice president Jim Buss said he still believes in Brown and will remain patient with him for the time being. "I have no problems with Mike Brown at all," Buss said. "He just works too hard and he's too knowledgeable for this to be happening. So either the system is flawed or something's going on. Or, like the Triangle, it's very hard to pick up and understand. I'm not a basketball mind like he is or the players are, and the players are fine with it, so I just have to be patient."

He's saying what he needs to say. Hiring Brown as opposed to Brian Shaw was all his decision.

The Offense Needs To Fit The Personnel, Bro.

As a Cavs fan I can tell you that Mike Brown didn't help us win any games with his coaching. LeBron ran the team and Brown developed a healthy win-loss percentage as a result of it. I wonder how Mike Brown would do on a team that truly needed coaching influence if the Lakers can't win under him? Answer: Not well.

Buss: "I have no problems with Mike Brown" = Ask me that same question in December or January!!

Sounds like the dreaded vote of confidence to me.

He is just getting a warning from both Kobe and Buss. He is in a very tight leash! Watch out for the second stare of death!

Apparently one stare of death is all it takes. He's OUT!
